# Connect to Bridge St Data

Bridge St Data provides ASX announcement research with page-level source citations through an MCP connector.

## Access requirements

Connection requires a Bridge St Data connector URL and credentials issued to the user or their firm. This document does not publish a public endpoint. Do not invent a URL, assume access is available, or report a successful connection before verifying it.

## Setup workflow

1. Identify the assistant or MCP client the user wants to connect. Use conversation context when available; otherwise ask.
2. Check whether the user already has an issued connector URL and access credentials. Ask them to enter secrets through their client's secure credential settings, rather than pasting them into chat.
3. With access, configure that client to use the issued URL as a Streamable HTTP MCP connector. Use the authentication method specified in the issued instructions; do not guess authentication headers or OAuth details. Follow the client's permission requirements.
4. Verify the connection by listing the tools available from the connector. Report the actual result. If appropriate, ask the user for a ticker or research question and use the available search tool, preserving the returned page citations and source links.
5. If access is missing, explain which connection details are needed. Offer to draft a request to andrew@bridgestdata.com with subject "Bridge St Data access". Include the intended MCP client and, optionally, up to five ASX tickers the user covers. Obtain the user's confirmation before sending anything. Do not submit credentials by email.
